If you haven't heard of the famous Ray's Indoor MTB park in Cleveland Ohio, google it and see what you have been missing. A great place to keep the bike skills going during the heart of winter. Ray put an actual dream to reality to fulfill his need for biking and a clean lifestyle and it's turned into something way larger than he had ever imagined. A great story of how the bike has given so much to a person and now how that person is giving back to thousands who normally couldn't ride in the dead of winter.
I've been to Ray's 4 times over the past four years and it gets better every year, but today I had the pleasure to have Ray here in Laguna Beach, my hometown. It started off with breakfast at a killer spot right on the sand, followed by a trip to Oakley, then a fun mtb ride with my old team mates Leigh & Stik. Of course no Wed. mtb ride in Laguna would be complete without hooking up with the RADS, so we got a little time in with the club, and showed Ray why we love Laguna so much. Great trails and great weather. I think Ray may have a new vacation spot during the winters now when he needs a bit of break from running the indoor park.
