Signature Tire Update
Some of you have been asking about the new BBG tire. Why is it designed the way it is? What compounds and sizes will it come in? When will it be available? Well right now I have only approved the 2.35 version. I have had a few sets of prototypes and love them. I am also going to have a 1.95 and 2.1 version and hopefully I will approve those in the next week so kenda can open up the molds to make them. I designed this tire to be fast rolling, but also have some braking characteristics and climbing characteristics. The side knob is big and as with most of my tires there is a channel between the center knobs and the cornering knobs. I do this because I like to have a good cornering edge, one I can feel and trust. The channel also clears mud well, but the El Moco is much better than the BBG for real mud riding. Also new for 2010 will be a 2.35 DTC tread compound El Moco, for those looking for a tire that will last much longer than the complete Stik E compound. The BBG will most likely only come in the DTC compound, which will last the longest and provide the fastest rolling combination. I am not 100% as to when the tires will be available to the public, but hoping by Sea Otter. Stay tuned and I will provide more info as it comes to me from Kenda.
