WE arrived here in Australia a couple days ago and after a quick drive thru Sydney we headed to Scot Sharples house in the Blue Mt.'s. It's been a couple good days hanging out here as Bryn and Jill are also staying at the Sharples house and the Syndicate team is staying just up the road, so there has been plenty of stuff to do.
Saturday a bunch of us did a road ride out to the look out point of the Three Sisters. Super sick views, but windy and cold as hell. Yesterday I did a great hike w/ Paula, Jill, & Scott along the most scenic trail. The steps were steep and it felt like a weight workout by the time we were done. It was worth the hike as we ended with a great breakfast overlooking the canyons.
Later yesterday we got some DH runs in. Peaty, Bryn, Josh, Greg, and a couple locals all ripped about 5 dh runs on a super fun course. The best thing about it was the shuttle may have been the easiest ride back up ever.
So far the trip has been great, with the exception of the cold and wind. Today the crew is all taking off and heading to Canberra for DH walking inspection. More updates to come soon.
