Whistler Update #1
After being home for one week it was time to start the drive to Whistler. I packed up the Sportsmobile with all the bikes & equipment that I could, headed over to the Bike Co. to pick up Joe my mechanic, and hit the road. We left Monday at 11am and rolled in to Whistler at 7:30p on Tuesday. It's a long drive, but the more I do it the shorter it seems to get.
Anyway, straight to dinner on Tuesday night with Bryson from Marzocchi and Richey Schley after a quick shower. A great night sleep and wed. it was ride time. After Joe and I organized the garage we hit the trails with Richey and Bryson for a fun couple hour xc ride. Super tech and challenging, just what I love and miss.
After a quick lunch I met Richey over at the bike park to hook up with Rob McSkimming to check out the Enduro DH course. WE took our time checking out all the options, made some changes, and ultimately finalized what should be a good, yet tough course that offers a little bit of everything.
A couple more days until the first race is on, DS on Saturday and from the chair lift the course looks good.
