This past weekend Brian along with WTB's Mark Weir and Jason Moeschler took the challenge to heart and became Team USA.

The Event:
Enduro Trophy des Nations

The Concept
3 Enduro pilots under the same national jersey, who will fight for their country.

Where?
Vars, France (in the French Alps)

How?
The team will have to make the fastest overall time during the weekend. Every run, each riders is competing against the chronometer alone; 6 runs Sat. and 4 on Sunday. They have to fulfill 10 races, in all, around 10,000 meters of downhill & over three different tracks called bordered tracks.

Who was the team to beat?
The French "of course" (Absalon, Vouilloz...).

The Results:
Team USA
put up a good fight, but after a series of flats and a couple of crashes they settled for Silver. Not bad for their first time together. Lopes was the ONLY non-French to take a win all weekend, impressive for a first timer!

Lopes said The Enduro race was a lot harder than I expected. The toll it took on everything: wheels, tires, brakes, suspension, the body...beyond anything that I imagined.

Big THANKS to Momo from Race Company and to Joe from BikeCo for all their help, to Lisa (Jason's girlfriend) for the TLC and Fred at Tribe Sports Group for the invite and fun event!
