Road Manners
So I have been riding the road bike for about 15 years now and I've learned some of the do's and do nots, but often I don't really care. I still bunnyhop curbs to pass people, I pull through and do work when I am ready, not when someone tells me to or flicks their shoulder, and I don't point out every little thing in the road. This last point is what really kills me. You're hauling ass at 35 or 40mph, doing the work while the riders behind get a free ride, and you have to take your hand off the bar so they don't hit a hole? F that I say... If you want to suck my wheel than at least you can pay attention to the road ahead. And if you don't like that, go around me. Especially if it is a race. WE are competing and I want to win, so that last thing I am going to do is help you out by pointing out shit on the road. Matter of fact, I might just purposely lead you into some holes. So if you are ever on a road race with me or expect me to do something, be prepared, as I might not have the normal road manners.
