Prokop in Laguna Beach
After a two hour road ride on Monday in Aptos with Hans Heim, one of the owners of ibis, I headed to Santa Cruz to visit the new ibis headquarters. Got to take a sneak peek at some new goodies we are working on and hang out with the crew before making the 7 hour drive back to Laguna Beach.
Tues was spent with Prokop and the photographer Rob. We did some photos around my house, an interview, had some lunch at one of my favorite mexican spots, La Sirena, took a walk around the nicest beach and hotel in Laguna, the Montage, and then we hit up the pump track and dirt jumps in Laguna Niguel for some action shots. Rob got some killer shots of both Prokop and I.
Wed. I met them at Oakley for some more good times. Blick got us a ride in the new Oakley tank which happens to be from the Czech Republic. Yes, an actual real tank. Quite the experience to say the least. From there we got the entire tour of the building, had lunch in the Oakley cafeteria and most importantly we spent a little time in the Engine room (secret hang out spot).
Nice hanging out with my biggest competitor the last 6 years on the World Cup circuit. Just an awsome rider and all around nice guy.
