This past weekend I went on a small road trip with my wife Paula, my dog Anni, and good friend Jon Levey to Sedona AZ. I went to Sedona about 4 months ago with my Dr to do some riding and really had a good time, so wanted to go back for some more fun and show my wife what a great place Sedona is.
Only a 7 hr drive from Laguna Beach, we took off Thur morning and were in Sedona later that afternoon at the Bike and Bean bike shop. We hooked up with local ripper Chewy for a 90 min easy, fun ride and Paula and Jon were loving it.
The next couple days were spent riding some different trails in the early parts of the days and my afternoons were spent doing some photo shoots with Rob Rebholz. The scenery is amazing in Sedona and we really got some epic shots.
On Sunday morning I hooked up with Chewy and Tex for a good ride with little stopping and a much faster pace than my previous rides with Paula & Jon. The wind picked up in the afternoon, so it was good to get a killer work out in and out of the way first thing.
Once back from my ride, Paula, Jon, and I got treated to a 4x4 adventure with a local kid named Max who we had met a few nights earlier at dinner. Pretty amazing what those Jeeps can climb.
Back from the Jeep adventure, a quick shower and we hit the road to make it back to Laguna by midnight Sunday. 3 nights, 4 days in Sedona, a perfect get away for a long weekend. Thanks to Jon's mom Ellen who lives in Sedona for all her hospitality and good times. We will definitely be back. Also have to thank Jim & Chewy from Bike and Bean for their help and guides. Dave at the Fat Tire Bike Shop for his guide as well, Matt from Hayes for the brakes work while in town, and Max for the 4x4 tour.
We all had fun and look forward to our next visit.
