RADS Rides
Every wed. night there are local mtb rides here in Laguna with the local club called the RADS. They have been around for over 25 years now and lately the rides have been attracting a lot of talent, newcomers, and just big groups.
After every ride we all meet at the pit where someone has volunteered to cook in advance. A fire is made and the coals are used to heat the grill. Usually taco's are made and beers are pounded. For the last 10 weeks I have hit every ride and with the exception of one shit ride, they have all been fun.
Blick has cooked a couple times over the last two months, a pre rec if you want to get nominated into the club, and some big names such as Steve Peat, Richie Schley, Darren Bearcloth, Marc Beaumont, and Ross Schnell have came out to be apart of our wed. night rides and festivities.
One of the newest members to get accepted into the club is Joe Lawwill. Boy was that a fun night as you will see from the pictures. Mandatory you have to drink a beer off your forehead as part of the initiation.
If you think you have the skills and are in Laguna, come on out for some good times, but be ready for some hiking, bush wacking, and some steep ass downs. Oh, and bring some beer and $5 bucks to the pit if you want to get fed afterwards. Good times always!!!
