I just got back from 4 days of riding in Sedona AZ with my friend and DR. Sten. Joe from the Bike Co. met up with us for 2 days of riding, but unfortunately he broke his bike on the second day and only got to ride for one day.
A 7 hour drive from laguna beach and were there. The scenery is unbelievable and the riding was really fun. WE got a mix of different types of terrain and trails. Some better than others, but all were a great experience. Another thing great about Sedona was the hospitality we got from Jim and his crew at Bike & Bean and also Dave at The Fat Tire bike shop.
Jim hooked us up with some locals one day and we did a big shuttle out of Bike and Bean, another day we hooked up with Joe Murray, NOD (a 65yr old native indian) & Dave from Fat Tire bike shop and did a great 2 hour plus xc ride. Today we got a guide from Gonzo, one of the workers at Bike and Bean for about an hour and then Sten and I went out a bit further on our own.
We had a great time and are already talking about when we can head back. The riding is year round, but it does get cold from what they tell us. The first night we got in it was really cold and we actually got some rain. From then on the days just got warmer. Not So.CA warm, but perfect riding weather.
