Ray's Redbull event

Had a good time at Ray's indoor Redbull race on Saturday. I have not been to Ray's for a couple years and he has really changed the place up. It was also the first time I have been to Cleveland when it was not freezing cold. The weather was good and the course was fun. Starting outside on the roof of a building, dropping off, across the parking lot, over a few more jumps, then onto another building, off to a wall ride, then a jump over a Subaru STI, step up into the building, jump over a pool table and then into a bunch of the lines inside the mtb park. It was fun event, hard because the course was not too technical and times would be close. Jeff Lynoski built the course and of course there had to be one bunnyhop line that was quicker which I am sure Jeff put in to try to gain some time since he is a great bunnyhopper. Luckily I am also pretty good at bunnyhops and was able to get over the wall for that line.

All in all it was a fun weekend, pretty laid back and of course I now have a stack of ones for a while as Ray always pays in ones. It was too bad more riders didn't come out and support the event. No complaining that mtb events to have good money when you ignore Redbull events which always pay good and are a lot of fun.

Sunday I got to hang out with Ray and do a little sight seeing. We went downtown where the Browns were playing a football game and Obama was having a rally. We went to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame to check it out. Pretty cool place if you are into music.
