Interbike was last week and usually I am pretty worked from those few days in Vegas, but not this time. I kept it mellow this trip and only really went out one night to the Hard Rock, and even that night I kept it mellow. Sure makes being at the show a lot more enjoyable when you don't go out partying all night.
The first night Paula and I went out to dinner with Hans Rey, Richie Schley, Willow, and my doctors Sten & Garrett. Had a nice dinner at the Palms hotel. Night two was the Hall of Fame induction. That was a great experience and an honor to receive that award. I had my family there, some of the people that really have had an influence on my career, and some good friends. After the awards I went out to dinner with my family and called it an early night.
The last night for us in Vegas was a fun one. After having a great dinner at the ibis booth we went out at the Hard Rock. For me it was really cool to see a bunch of old school bmx guys I have not seen in a long time. Bob Haro, Dave Mirra, Robbie Morales, Lawan Cunningham, etc... It was cool to hang with Mirra especially. Super cool guy who is really into the rally driving right now. It will be cool to see Dave hopefully make the transition and be successful at this as well.
All in all the show was good. Ibis showed the new Lopes Link, which is a one piece link for the MOJO to stiffen it up. They also showed the new Tranny colors, the Ti replica MOJO, and the new Hakalugi cyclocross bike. Some sick products and a lot of great response.
