Tour of CA
Went to the last stage yesterday to watch the finish and it was amazing. They rolled into the Rose Bowl after about 70 mile on the road and did 5 laps to the finish line. Unfortunately it pissed down rain and was cold, but being the worriers they are, the pace was fierce, and breaks were sticking. On the last lap the one sole break away guy was caught by a group of five which included George Hincapie, an Oakley teammate and super cool guy. Of course we were hoping he would be able to pull it off and with about 150-200 meters to the finish he attacked and put enough gap on the others to raise his hands and celebrate. George had a crash on the 2nd stage and got 2nd in one stage, so this was the perfect finish for such a hard weeks worth of racing.
For anyone watching on tv thinking they could do that, ha!!! you're dreaming...
