The last day of the year is upon us and another year has flown by. Man, seems like they go by so fast but maybe it's when you have great years you just hope they will last longer.
Anyways, there has been some shity things that have happened this year with injuries to Tara & Stephan. Both of their lives have changed dramatically, but at the same point it is good to see all the support that the biking community has given them.
My 7 year stint with GT has came to an end. Sad, but also it will be nice to have a change.
The housing market has taken a serious shit, but hopefully those investments will pull back around in the next couple years.
On a more positive note, I won my 4th world championship, 6th world cup overall, and added 3 more world cup wins to my record at 36 years of age. I didn't even think I would be racing at this age and with a healthy, injury free season like 07 I think I have more years left in me to continue the shredding. Paula and I moved back to Laguna Beach, which is definitely the best place in CA to live. We have downscaled in size to only 2 bedrooms 1 bath, but that is all we need. Location, location, location. Nice to be able to walk to the beach and town in 10-15min.
A few friends have added new babies to their lives, so hopefully more sick riders will be on the circuit in 16 years. Congrats to those friends...
Well, hope everyone has a good New Years tonight. Hans has been kind enough to have a party at his house, so the crew will be partying it up with Jorg tonight. Should be fun.... Be safe and looking forward to having another fun, successful year in 2008. Keep riding and pushing yourself in the name of fun!
