Wheel Chair Race

So I go to Oakley yesterday to meet Ernie for lunch. I pull into the front circle, call to see where he is at, he answers and is in the employee store. He wheels over to meet me and is out of breath.

Long story short, I tell him he is out of shape and we bicker back and forth about his shape. 5 minutes later we are having a wheel chair race up the hill from the street to the circle of Oakley. We agree on a 35% handicap for him and I go first. 2 min 42 seconds was my time. It was definitely harder than I thought it would be and a dime size blister is on my hand to prove it.

Ernie goes next and comes in a bit off pace of the extra time I gave him, but it was cool to get him motivated to push himself and have the adreniline of competition in him. We encouraged him the entire way up the hill & he was awsome. He was out of breath at the top, but happy that he now had a mark to beat the next time he comes to Oakley.

We got some pictures and video, so hopefully I can get that up soon. It was awsome to see Ernie pushing himself & challange himself.
