Switzerland WC 4xQualifier
Today was the Qualifier for the 4x. After seeing the course yesterday and being disappointed, I figured I better get there today and just ride it as much as possible because nothing was going to get changed. After 2 hours of practice I was feeling pretty good on the course. The first turn is going to be stupid tomorrow for the race, but when you are by yourself you can deal with it OK.
Since USA Cycling is so on top of things, just as in Vigo Spain I was not signed up early enough, giving me #154 to qualify. So I was second to last to go off and I put together a good run. I was cautious on the top because the first turn was sketchy but on the second half of the course I put down some HP's, putting me in first by 1.5 seconds. Prokop was 2nd, Deldyke was 3rd, Scott Beuomont was 4th, Bryn 5th, Graves 6th... not sure after that.
Gate position should help tomorrow so lets hope I can carry it through tomorrow.
