SX #5

Saturday was supercross number 5 and RC was not racing so I didn't expect too much, but Reed put up a good battle. He kept Bubba with in a couple seconds for the entire race and even passed him once when Stewart made a mistake. In the end it was Stewart again, but at least Reed is keeping him honest. Also good to see Tim Ferry pulling off a third and looking good again. Hopefully his trainer Dean has something to do with his success. Dean use to be the GT team manager when I first joined the team. He works for Carmichael Training and knows training.

Tom Rogers from Marzocchi came down on Friday and we met up with a bunch of guys from Bike Mag for a ride up off Ortega Hwy. With the rain we had a few days before, the dirt was pretty good. A trail that I had not rode in probably 8 years was the one of choice this day and I have no idea why I have not done it more recently. Maybe one of my new favorite rides, but I am not saying where it is or the name. All I will say is that uphills and downhills on the trail are sick. Technical, yet good flow on the downs and the ups where challenging and technical as well. A 5-6 inch travel bike was perfect and with a new 08 Marzocchi air shock on the rear, I was loving it. Can't wait for some more rain to get out there and do that trail again. The PERFECT ALL MOUNTAIN trail...
