surgery
Wed. I had surgery on my ankle to get it cleaned up. I broke it in 1999 when I was on Cannondale and tore the ligaments and then in Scotland a couple years ago I broke it again. It just has never been great and the last few years my range of motion has been worsening, so I decided to get it fixed.
Basically they scoped it, so nothing too major. Went in, sucked out all the loose fragments that were floating around jamming up my ankle and they also shaved off a bone spur that was limiting my range of motion. So hopefully I will feel like I have a new ankle in a few weeks.
Recovery is pretty fast from this. They said in one week I should be walking on it and after 2 weeks I will be able to pedal my road bike. I figured this is a good time to relax over the holidays and get it taken care of.
