Nor Cal trip
Just got back from a little 3 day trip up to Nor Cal. Started off by riding moto up at Castillo ranch on Sunday. Always a good time up there. Dave Castillo and I did a bunch of moto's and by the end of the day I was beat.
Tom Rogers showed up at the ranch about 4:30pm to hook up for the next few days with me. We left the ranch after taking a swim in the sickest pool every and headed to Novato, CA to visit Mark Weir. Got to his house about 10pm, super tired and slept like a rock.
Monday we went to breakfast and around 1pm Forrest came over to shoot us on the pump track. We killed the track until about 5pm, hitting almost every line imaginable. Scott Hart built one double out of a turn which he thought may be un-jumpable, but I had that shit no problem. Come on Hart!!!
It was Suzies B-day (mark's wife) that day and her mom had a fiest over at her place. After a quick shower we jumped on our bikes and took a spin over to her moms for the B-day dinner. Super good food and fun times always are had with the Weirs.
Tues. we went to Fairfax to do a XC ride. Mark, Tom, myself and the owner of Taco Janes (local taco place that rocks) all went for a 2 1/2 hour pedal. Towards the end of the ride we ran into Mary & Mike who are Pro XC athletes that race for Kenda. We did the last part of the ride with them, spent from another day of pinning it.
A quick dinner and Tom and I started the long drive home. 2:30am and I finally made it home. A short trip, but a action packed one. Today was spent chilling out and recovering. A good nights sleep will be nice.
